'The Simple Life' star Paris Hilton has dropped an appeal against her jail sentence, according to a Los Angeles Superior Court spokesperson.
People magazine reported that the court spokesperson confirmed that the reality television star would not now be appealing the sentence after the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said that she may only have to serve 23 days of her 45-day sentence.
Last week, Hilton said that she was prepared to serve her sentence, saying: "I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation."
The star has now been given until 5 June to turn herself in to the Century Regional Detention Facility in California, where she will serve her time in a special housing unit there, away from other inmates.
