American stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Michelle Williams and Evan Rachel Wood are to play the lead roles in the upcoming biopic about the Bronte sisters.
Variety reports that 'Bronte' will be directed by Charles Sturridge, whose credits include 'Brideshead Revisited', 'A Handful of Dust' and the recent 'Lassie'; he also wrote the screenplay for the new film.
Commenting on the film, Sturridge said: "My family comes from Yorkshire, and I grew up with five sisters, so this is a story I have always wanted to tell."
The film is due to begin shooting in September.
