'X Factor' winner Leona Lewis has been forced to put the recording of her debut album on hold due to illness.
According to the Sunday Mirror, the 23-year-old singer was sent home from Los Angeles after her voice began to suffer from "overdoing it".
Lewis reportedly picked up tonsillitis after spending a number of days in studio trying to finish her album.
Her father Joe told the paper: "She has been overdoing it. The expectations on her are so great."
"She's in the studio every day, late into the night. Now her producers have stopped until her voice gets better."
