Sandra Bullock's husband Jesse James is recovering after a woman tried to kill him outside the couple's home in Southern California.
According to People magazine, Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino confirmed that a woman had been arrested after the incident, which took place last Sunday morning.
Amormino said: "At around 10:40am James found the suspect, Marcia Valentine, lying on their driveway."
"He told her to leave, but instead she got into her 2004 silver Mercedes and tried to run him over three to four times... Valentine tried to kill him."
Both Bullock and James' 10-year-old son Jesse Jr witnessed the incident.
The woman managed to flee the scene after the attack but officers arrested her the next day for assault with a deadly weapon.
Bullock's representative said: "Both Jesse James and Sandra Bullock are fine and it is now in the hands of the authorities."
