Paolo Nutini's manager has dismissed claims that the singer was drunk when he performed a concert last Sunday after celebrating Celtic's title win.
The 20-year-old singer was reportedly jeered when he seemed to slur his words during his Swindon concert.
According to the Daily Record, some concert-goers walked out after hearing just three songs.
Nutini's manager Brendan Moon has now dismissed speculation that he singer was drunk on stage, saying: "Him being drunk is absolute nonsense".
Moon claims that Nutini was just mumbling as he performed and that there were technical problems that made it difficult for the audience to hear him.
"Anybody who has seen Paolo before knows it's just the way he speaks," his manager said.
"He has never claimed to be an orator and he is not a brilliant public speaker, but he doesn't pretend to be."
Moon said that Nutini probably had "a couple" of beers as he watched the match earlier that day.
"There were also a few technical problems during the gig, but at the end everybody went mad - they loved him."
