American rapper and actor Snoop Dogg has been charged with gun possession by a convicted felon and sale or transportation of marijuana.
Both charges arise from his arrest in October at a Los Angeles airport when police found a gun and marijuana in his car.
The 35-year-old, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, is due to be arraigned on the two felony counts this morning in Pasadena.
If he is convicted on both charges, Broadus could be sentenced to as much as four years in state prison.
In 1990 he was convicted of felony drug possession and possession for sale.
Last November he was charged with possession of a deadly weapon after he was found to be carrying a collapsible baton through security at Orange County's John Wayne Airport.
He was also arrested in Stockholm in March for suspected narcotics use.
