Television presenter and comedian Graham Norton has advised 'X Factor' and 'American Idol' judge Simon Cowell to quit television.
Norton made the comments as his new talent show 'Any Dream Will Do' kicked off. Next week the show will go head-to-head with Cowell's new show musical show 'Grease is the Word'.
The presenter told The Sunday Mirror: "Simon is a huge TV talent - I admire his work ethic. But he's got all the money he needs - he should pack it in and enjoy himself."
"It must be great sitting on a beach in the Bahamas drinking cocktails with Paula Abdul and raking it in like while doing nothing," he said.
Speaking about the competition between Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Any Dream Will Do' and Cowell's 'Grease is the Word', Norton said: "Cowell is a TV talent, but Andrew is a phenomenon. He wrote his first musical at 18. The man is a genius. Simon is just a good businessman."
