Richard Hammond, one of the hosts on BBC programme 'Top Gear', is to present a series of music specials on BBC Radio 2.
Hammond returned to 'Top Gear' earlier this year, four months after a high speed crash in September left him fighting for his life.
He has since made a remarkable recovery.
Before he started work in TV, he worked at BBC Radio York, BBC Radio Cumbria, BBC Radio Leeds and BBC Radio Lancashire.
"My first job was in radio, so to have the chance to share some time with listeners on the biggest station in the country is a huge and exciting opportunity," he said.
The first of the shows, which will air over the Easter, Spring, August and Christmas bank holidays, will be broadcast on Friday 6 April.
