RTÉ 2fm DJ Ruth Scott, former Miss World Rosanna Davidson and 'The Afternoon Show' chef Kevin Dundon are three of the contestants taking part in this year's 'Celebrity Jigs 'n' Reels'.
A total of ten celebrity contestants will be paired with ten professional Irish dancers to raise money for a variety of Irish charities.
In 2006 'Celebrity Jigs 'n' Reels' raised over €150,000 for the chosen charities.
Others taking place include two actors from 'Fair City' - Sorcha Furlong, who plays Orla, and Gerard Byrne, better known as Malachy; best-selling author and conqueror of Mount Everest, Grania Willis; 'Ros na Rún's Conall, Gavin Ó Fearraigh; Irish Times correspondent and TV presenter Shalini Sinha; tenor and West End star Peter Corry; and GAA All Star Paul Curran.
Marty Whelan returns as the presenter, along with judges Jean Butler and Colin Dunne and rugby pundit and Irish dancing aficionado George Hook.
Starting on Sunday, 1 April on RTÉ One at 6.30pm, the new series of the show will run over eight weeks.
Viewers will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite celebrity each week, with the live result show broadcast each Sunday at 9.30pm straight after the 'Nine O'Clock News'.
