Reality television star Nicole Richie has been diagnosed with hypoglycaemia, according to her representative.
The 25-year-old star, who was recently hospitalised for dehydration, is now taking steps to manage the health problem.
Richie's spokesperson told People magazine: "In her ongoing effort to focus on her well-being, Nicole has recently been diagnosed with hypoglycaemia or low blood sugar."
The diagnosis was made after Richie sought help in gaining weight.
A spokesperson for her reality show 'The Simple Life' said: "Nicole has reported to work each day and the results have been fantastic."
