Tom Cruise is to star in the new World War Two thriller from 'The Usual Suspects' director Bryan Singer.
Variety reports that the film is based on actual events in World War Two when German generals devised a plan to assassinate Hitler.
The script for the film has been written by Christopher McQuarrie, the Oscar-winning writer of 'The Usual Suspects', and Nathan Alexander.
Production on the film is due to begin in the summer.
