Heather Mills McCartney was praised by judges on US TV show 'Dancing With The Stars' as she made her debut on Monday.
The estranged wife of Paul McCartney is the first contestant to perform with an artificial leg.
After she danced the foxtrot with dance partner Jonathan Roberts, judge Len Goodman said: "I think you are an inspiration to people to get out and dance."
Mills, who scored 18 out of 30, was pleased with the result.
"I'm just glad I didn't fall over," she said. "I thought I'd be the lowest so I'm pleased."
Former NSync star Joey Fatone was the highest scoring participant, getting 24 points for his cha cha cha, while singer Billy Ray Cyrus fared worst, with a total of 13.
