Former 'X Factor' judge Louis Walsh has said that he was "axed" from 'The X Factor', claiming that he didn't know he would be getting the chop from the television talent show.
Speaking to radio DJ Chris Moyles on his breakfast show this morning, Walsh said: "I was axed from 'The X Factor', stabbed in the back, just pushed aside really."
Walsh said: "I'm absolutely gone and I didn't know I was getting the chop at all. I was in Stockholm in a hotel when I got the phone call."
It was announced last week at a press conference for 'The X Factor' that Walsh would not be returning as a judge for the next series of the show.
Presenter Kate Thornton is also due to replaced for the new series.
Walsh also said that he would back DJ Moyles to replace him as a judge on the television talent show.
"I think you'd be a brilliant judge and I know Sharon likes you a lot," he said.
"They should hire you - we should start a national petition to hire Chris Moyles for 'The X Factor'. You'd be great for the show."
