Jack Black is to star opposite Robert Downey Jr in the new Ben Stiller-directed comedy 'Tropic Thunder'.
Production Weekly reports that the film tells the story of five actors who go on location for a new big budget war movie and find themselves embroiled in an actual war-like situation.
Black will play Jeff 'Fats' Portnoy, a comedian who is trying to kick his drug habit on location in the jungle; Downey Jr plays Kirk Lazarus, a four-time Oscar winner who is the greatest actor of his generation.
Shooting on the film is set to begin in July.
