Veteran actress Sylvia Syms, who recently played the Queen Mother in the acclaimed film 'The Queen', has landed a part in 'EastEnders'
According to The Sun, the 73-year-old actress will play a mystery character who helps Old Vic landlady Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor) out.
An insider told the paper: "Sylvia plays a woman called Olive who is not related to any of the other characters."
"But she and Peggy have a connection which is part of a much bigger storyline," the source said.
Syms is initially due to appear in Albert Square in April and is expected return for several more episodes later in the year.
