'The Simple Life' star Nicole Richie was treated for dehydration after becoming ill while filming a new series of the show.
According to E! Online, the television star was examined by a doctor on the set of the television show before being taken to hospital for treatment.
The report claims that she received intravenous fluids for 15 minutes and was then released from the hospital.
Richie's representative said that she took some time off to rest at home after the incident.
"We are proud of the weight that Nicole is gaining and her focus on her health," a statement said.
The television star said last year that she was seeking the help of a nutritionist in order to gain weight.
