'Coronation Street' star Antony Cotton has turned down the chance to launch a pop career because he doesn't want to leave the soap.
According to the show's official website, Cotton was offered numerous lucrative recording contracts after winning the reality show 'Soapstar Superstar'.
The actor told InsideSoap: "I was over the moon when I won 'Soapstar Superstar' – but I was equally thrilled to get back to work."
"I've been offered lots of other stuff since, but I've said no to all of it because I love being on the 'Street'. I'd never want to do anything detrimental to that."
"There's something else I might be doing. I'm in talks with ITV – though I can't speak about that right now. All I can say is that it will be done alongside 'Corrie'," Cotton said.
