Model Anna Nicole Smith is to be laid to rest in the Bahamas, next to her son Daniel, following a court ruling which granted custody of her body to the guardian of her 5-month-old daughter.
Broward Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin said yesterday that he was handing over the star's remains to the court-appointed guardian of her daughter Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern.
An emotional Seidlin also said: "I want her buried with her son. I want her buried with her son in the Bahamas. I want them to be together."
Lawyer Richard Milstein, who was acting on behalf of Smith's daughter, later confirmed that the star would be buried alongside her son in the Bahamas, as the judge had requested.
Smith's partner Howard K Stern said after the ruling: "I'm very grateful that Anna Nicole's wishes are going to be carried out."
