It is reported that Britney Spears has returned to the Promises rehab centre in Malibu, California.
Showbiz websites and TV shows reported that Spears returned late on Wednesday to Promises, which she had left earlier that day after less than 24 hours of treatment.
It was reported last week that the singer checked in to Eric Clapton's Crossroads rehab centre in Antigua but left after just 24 hours.
US TV show 'Extra' and showbiz site TMZ reported that if the 25-year-old singer leaves Promises before the end of her treatment programme her estranged husband, Kevin Federline, will seek full custody of their two children.
An emergency family law court hearing called by Federline yesterday was cancelled after a telephone call from Federline's lawyer.
