'The Simple Life' star Nicole Richie has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs in California.
The 25-year-old, who is the daughter of singer Lionel Richie, was arrested on 11 December.
Police said that her car was found blocking a freeway car pool lane and she failed a sobriety test.
Richie was charged with being under the influence of "an alcoholic beverage and a drug". Her file also said that she had a prior conviction for driving under the influence from 2003.
