Heather Mills McCartney, the estranged wife of former Beatle Paul McCartney, has spoken to the police about death threats made against her.
A spokesperson confirmed that she had visited Hove Police Station, near Brighton, for a pre-planned meeting, which was set up to "discuss a number of issues".
Mills McCartney's spokesperson, Phil Hall, said: "She doesn't want to discuss it but it was because of ongoing security issues."
Hall confirmed that the death threats were received before Christmas, saying that Mills McCartney had not received any more threats since then.
"She doesn't know whether the people following her are from photographic agencies or something more sinister, in view of these death threats," he said.
