'Coronation Street' is set to get a new trouble-making family in the coming months, headed up by former 'Brookside' and 'The Royal' star Michael Starke.
Starke will play single father Jerry Morton in the soap, when he arrives with his family on 18 March.
The character is set to move into Charlie Stubb's old house with his children and later open a takeaway in Diggory Compton's old bakery.
Among his children is Jodie (Samantha Seager), who has already appeared in the soap, with her grandfather (Rodney Litchfield).
Other family members include 17-year-old twins Mel (Emma Edmondson) and Darryl (Jonathan Dixon) and 12-year-old Kayleigh (Jessica Barden).
Reports have suggested that the new family will cause a stir by upsetting some of the locals on their arrival.
