A Los Angeles judge has lifted an order preventing model Anna Nicole Smith's body from being buried, because of a paternity battle over her baby daughter Dannielynn Hope.
The judge said that the DNA required for the tests had been already obtained during an autopsy on the model and television star.
Last week Superior Court Judge Robert Schnider ruled that Smith's body should be preserved until 20 February, when a hearing over paternity claims would be held.
However, a request was made by Smith's attorney, Ronald Rale, to release the body for burial.
Rale said: "There was no need to in any way delay this process. We want to have a proper burial... just out of respect for Anna Nicole."
Yesterday a tape of the 911 call made by security staff at Smith's hotel revealed that the star was already unresponsive when she was discovered at her hotel room.
