Supermodel Naomi Campbell has joined the size zero debate, asking people not to blame the fashion industry for skinny trends.

The model claimed that there was no pressure in the fashion industry to look skinny, saying that many underweight models were suffering from a psychological illness.

Campbell said: "You can't blame the industry for a psychological disease. It is a disease, like alcohol or drugs, and the industry is not to blame."

She also praised recent initiatives to ban girls aged under 16 from modelling on the catwalks.
