Amy Winehouse has revealed that she is in control of her lifestyle, amid criticisms over her dramatic weight loss.

According to ITV.com, the singer has shrunk to around seven stone in recent months, and has been given advice on ways to deal with the problem. However, she insists there is no point in her taking professional medical help, and she is able to sort it out by herself.

"Someone tried to get me into a weight rehabilitation thing, but I'm the kind of person who can do it by myself," she said.

"I'm not in denial; I knew I had a problem, but it got to the point where it was like, 'We want you to eat three solid meals a day,' and I was like, 'No girl under the age of 30 eats three meals a day. Girls eat two meals a day."

She added that she thought her critics should concentrate on their own lives, rather than intruding into hers: "The thing with people like that (is) they don't have music in their lives, so they don't have an outlet. It's boring. They're wasting their own time, let alone mine."
