Rumours that JK Rowling would release the seventh and final Harry Potter instalment as an e-book have been refuted by a lawyer from her literary agency.
The hardcover edition of the new book, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows', is slated for release on July 21 on Bloomsbury Publishing in Britain and Scholastic in the United States.
On behalf of Rowling, Neil Blair told an Associated Press reporter that the books in the series would not be published online, citing piracy concerns as the main reason.
He added that, as noted on her website, Rowling prefers printed editions to online publications.
The first six books about the adventures of the young wizard have sold more than 325 million copies. Advance orders for the last book are already breaking Amazon.com records.
