Viewers of RTÉ's 'You're A Star' choose to eliminate Limerick singer-songwriter Richie McCoy last night.

The 27-year-old, who has been gigging since the age of 13, sang Bonnie Tyler's 'Holding Out for a Hero'.

Eight acts remain in the reality talent show, with the next live programme due to broadcast on Sunday 4 February on RTÉ One at 6.30pm.

Andrew Bennett (28) from Dublin
Alan Kavanagh (18) from Meath
Brian Clarke (19) from Monaghan
Scuba Dice, featuring Joe Grace, Padraig King, Owen Murphy and Sean Savage, all from Kilkenny
21 Demands, featuring Stephen Garrigan, Conor Linnane, Mark Prendergast, Vinny May, from Dublin
