Bookstores are bracing themselves for unprecedented scenes of Potter mania.
Author JK Rowling has said that two characters die in the final instalment - and fans will be desperate to discover if Harry is one of them.
Bloomsbury said it would publish a children's hardback edition, an adult hardback and an audio book on the same day.
The Potter books have sold 325 million copies worldwide and been translated into 64 languages, Bloomsbury said.
