'Law & Order: SVU' stars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni have signed multi-million dollar, two-year deals to stay with the hit police series.
Variety reports that the actors, who play Detectives Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler in the series, are expected to receive annual salaries of more than $6.5m each.
It is believed that the deal will make Hargitay one of the highest paid actresses on US television.
Commenting, the show's executive producer and creator Dick Wolf expressed happiness "that Chris and Mariska have decided to stay with a show that they've made an indelible stamp upon as we move into our ninth season".
