Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has flown out to Los Angeles to begin searching for a new home, ahead of husband David's move to his new club LA Galaxy.
According to a spokesperson, the singer flew out to LA on Saturday and was later set to embark on a house hunt.
Beckham will also view schools for the couple's children on her current trip.
David will not be joining his wife on the trip, which was planned a couple of weeks ago.
The spokesperson said: "She was always going out there on a scheduled trip", adding: "She will be looking at schools and houses for when they arrive in the summer."
The trip comes days after David Beckham confirmed that he had signed a lucrative deal with LA Galaxy.
He said he wanted to make the move from Spain to the US in order to make a difference.
"I'm coming there not to be the superstar but to be part of the team, and to work hard and hopefully to win things," he said.
Beckham also said that he had asked actor Tom Cruise for advice ahead of his decision to move to LA.
"Obviously I'd asked him for his advice as well because he's a very wise man, he's a very good friend of mine," he said.
"It's going to be a big help for us, to have friends actually, when we arrive in LA."
