The producers of 'Lost' are holding talks with US TV giant ABC to decide when the hit series will end.
The Associated Press reports that in a meeting with TV critics yesterday in California the producers said that while the end of the series was some distance away, having a deadline would help the writers plan how they wanted 'Lost' to end.
"Once we figure out when that will be, a lot of the questions will go away," said 'Lost's executive producer Carlton Cuse.
The producers pointed to 'The X-Files' as a series which had gone on too long and lost its impact.
"That was a great show that probably ran two seasons too long," said Cuse. "That is a cautionary tale for us."
