Tabloid journalist Carole Malone was evicted from the Big Brother house tonight.
The 52-year-old was told she would have to exit the house after gaining more votes than A-Team star Dirk Benedict.
Carole, who entered the house to satisfy her 'journalistic curiosity', was banned from nominating her housemates because she broke Big Brother rules.
After secret discussions over nominations with actress Cleo Rocos last week, the other housemates had to decide yesterday which lady they wanted to save.
Most hands shot up for Carole despite tearful outbursts over Big Brother's 'cruelty' from beauty queen Danielle Lloyd, reality TV star Jade Goody and Bollywood queen Shilpa Shetty.
Carole was upset that Shilpa had not also been punished after her contribution to the nominations chat and insisted it was because Big Brother was being 'divisive'.
Close to tears in the bedroom, Carole said: 'I'm ready to go'.
Pop star Leo Sayer had also been up for eviction but decided to exit the house in a rage after he ran out of clean underwear.
