The RTÉ-screened drama series 'The Clinic' has been nominated for five Irish Film and Television Awards, as are 'Stardust' and 'Showbands', which were also shown on RTÉ.

Made by Parallel Films for RTÉ, 'The Clinic' is nominated for Best Drama Series/Soap, with stars Aisling O'Sullivan (Best Actress), Gary Lydon (Best Supporting Actor), Leigh Arnold (Best Supporting Actress) and Gemma Craven (Best Supporting Actress) also nominated.

'Stardust' has received nominations for Best Single Drama/Drama Serial, Best Actress (Ger Ryan), Best Supporting Actress (Ruth Bradley), Best Editing (Stephen O'Donnell) and Best Sound (John Fitzgerald, Peter Blayney, Jon Stevenson and Dan Birch). 

'Showbands' is nominated for Best Drama Series/Soap, Best Actor (Liam Cunningham), Best Supporting Actor (Christopher O'Dowd), Best Supporting Actress (Tina Kelleher) and Best Editing (Dermot Diskin).

Other series to receive multiple nominations include 'Murphy's Law', 'Legend' and 'Ros na Rún'.

'Jokerman - Tommy Tiernan Takes on America', 'Naked Camera', 'The Panel' and 'The Podge & Rodge Show' are all nominated for Best Entertainment Programme, with 'Des Bishop, Joy in the Hood', 'In Search of The Pope's Children', 'Rip Off Republic' and 'Wild Trials' all nominated for Best Factual Entertainment Programme.

'The Podge & Rodge Show's Lucy Kennedy is among the nominees for the Breakthrough Talent Award.

The awards take place on 9 February at the RDS in Dublin.
