Actors from a number of soaps are gearing up to take to the stage for the new series of 'Soapstar Superstar', which is due to begin tomorrow night.
Among those getting ready to stretch their vocals chords in the show are Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby from 'Coronation Street'), Verity Rushworth (Donna Windsor-Dingle from 'Emmerdale'), Mark Furze (Ric Dalby from 'Home and Away'), Gemma Atkinson (Lisa Hunter from 'Hollyoaks') and Elaine Lordan (Lynne Hobbs from 'EastEnders').
Also taking part in the talent show are 'Coronation Street' stars Antony Cotton (Sean Tully) and Tupele Dorgu (Kelly Crabtree), 'Emmerdale' stars Matthew Wolfenden (David Metcalfe) and Hayley Tamaddon (Delilah Dingle), 'Neighbours' star Alan Fletcher (Dr Karl Kennedy) and 'Hollyoaks in the City' star Leon Lopez (Tank Top).
This year Zoe Ball will be presenting the show. Speaking about her new role, she said: "I nearly wet my pants when I was asked to host it this time. I can't wait to get all the inside gossip at the show and see who's the prima donna, who's the saucy one, who's the trouble-causer."
Former 'EastEnders' star Martine McCutcheon and West End star Michael Ball will feature on the judging panel in the upcoming series.
