19 years after his last big screen outing as Indiana Jones, it has been announced that Harrison Ford will return as the adventurer next year.
The Hollywood Reporter says that director Steven Spielberg and producer George Lucas made the announcement on Monday, with Spielberg set to begin shooting the film in June.
Commenting, Spielberg said: "George, Harrison and I are all very excited. We feel that the script was well worth the wait. We hope it delivers everything you'd expect from our history with Indiana Jones."
In a statement, Ford said of his return to the role: "I'm delighted to be back in business with my old friends. I don't know if the pants still fit, but I know the hat will."
