Pop singer and mother-of-two Britney Spears has admitted that she took her "new found freedom a little too far", with constant partying after filing for divorce from Kevin Federline.
The singer has been making tabloid headlines for her partying with socialite Paris Hilton.
In a posting on her website, under the heading 'Oops! I did it again!', Spears said that she was "just getting started" and was looking forward to a "new year, new music and a new me".
"It's has been so long since I've been out on the town with friends."
"It's also been two years since I even celebrated my birthday," she said.
"Every move I make at this point has been magnified more than I expected, and I probably did take my new found freedom a little too far."
Spears has two young children, 1-year-old Sean Preston and Jayden James, who is nearly three-months-old.
