An all-star Kennedy Center Honours gala event honoured director Steven Spielberg and country singer Dolly Parton on Sunday night.
Several celebrities, including Tom Hanks, Aretha Franklin , Liam Neeson and Reese Witherspoon paid tribute to the honourees, which also included Smokey Robinson, Zubin Mehta and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The event marked a weekend of events for the five stars, who were honoured for their contributions to the arts in the US.
