Madonna does not have a problem with the fact that a Malawi court has ruled that human rights groups be allowed to participate in a judicial review of her adoption of a young Malawian boy.
According to her lawyer, Alan Chinula, the singer and her film director husband Guy Ritchie said that they had "no problems" with the court ruling on Wednesday.
"They called me from London to express their willingness to sit back and wait for the subsequent hearing now only 15 months away," he said.
The ruling means that a coalition of rights groups and the Malawi Human Rights Commission will be allowed to participate in further judicial review of the interim adoption of one-year-old David Banda, who is now in the temporary custody of Madonna and Ritchie.
The couple's lawyer said that they followed the law while going through the adoption process and welcomed the review of the case.
"We followed the law to the letter in the adoption process, but it's good now that this will be a test case and will help to come up with guiding principles for future inter-country adoptions," he said.
