American filmmaker Sofia Coppola has given birth to her first child, a baby girl named Romy.
The director and her boyfriend, Thomas Mars, the frontman of French band Phoenix, welcomed their first child on Tuesday in Paris.
Coppola, director of 'The Virgin Suicides' and 'Lost in Translation', released her most recent film, the Kirsten Dunst-starring 'Marie Antoinette', earlier this year.
"Mother, father and daughter are all healthy and happy and in France," said Coppola's publicist Robert Garlock.
