US rapper Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was arrested near Los Angeles on Tuesday after taping a performance at 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'.

The arrest - his third in three months - was on weapons and narcotics charges.

According to Reuters, a spokesman for the Burbank Police Department said that Snoop Dogg, together with his friends and bodyguards, were pulled over as they left the NBC Burbank studio.

In the car were marijuana, cocaine and a firearm. Snoop Dogg was booked and bail set at $60,000.

Last month, police arrested him at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank for alleged illegal drug and firearms possession.

Weeks earlier Snoop Dogg was stopped at John Wayne International Airport in Orange County, California, and charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
