There have been indications that there may be a sequel to the successful film adaptation of Dan Brown's bestselling novel, 'The Da Vinci Code'.

'Da Vinci Code' scriptwriter Akiva Goldsman ('A Beautiful Mind', 'Cinderella Man'), has reportedly been paid $3.8 million to write the follow-up.

This will actually be based on Brown's 'Angels And Demons', the book which precedes 'The Da Vinci Code'.

The plot sees cryptologist Robert Langdon dealing with another powerful secret society, called the Illuminati.

Tom Hanks, who played Langdon in 'The Da Vinci Code', is in talks to reprise his role for this film, which is scheduled for release in 2008.
