Kevin Federline's lawyers have dismissed tabloid reports that the dancer has in his possession a "sex tape" featuring him and his estranged wife Britney Spears.
After pop singer Spears filed for divorce earlier this month reports suggested that Federline was considering making a secret video tape of the couple public.
However, Federline's lawyer yesterday denied this claim, insisting that no such tape ever existed.
Lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan said: "There is not a sex video of Kevin and Britney in existence."
"It goes without saying that the stories of Kevin attempting to sell such a video are patently false and anyone who reports that they have information of such attempts is either lying or reporting the lie of someone else," Kaplan said.
Spears recently filed a lawsuit against Us Weekly, claiming that the magazine had defamed her by reporting that a sex tape existed.
The case was dismissed, with the judge saying that Spears could not be defamed in such a way because she had "put her modern sexuality squarely, and profitably, before the public eye."
Spears filed for divorce from Federline on 7 November. She is also seeking custody of the couple's two young children Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Federline responded by filing papers seeking spousal support and custody of the two children.
