'X Factor' judge Simon Cowell reportedly turned down a cameo role in Ricky Gervais' show 'Extras' because the part involved singing.
According to The Sun, Gervais wanted Cowell to sing a karaoke version of Elton John's hit 'Daniel' in the final show of the current series.
But Cowell reportedly turned down the part because he didn't want to humiliate himself. "I can't sing. Why would I humiliate myself?" he said.
According to the report, Gervais said: "He said it was the one thing he couldn't do. I wanted him to sing 'Daniel' and he told me 'I can't do it darling'. He said he'd do anything but that."
