It is reported that the new James Bond film 'Casino Royale' has been illegally downloaded over 200,000 times since it went on cinema release last week.

Internet monitoring company Envisional said that two pirated versions of the blockbuster were available on file sharing networks.

A copy of the film, apparently from Russia and shot over the heads of a cinema audience, was on the web last Friday; a higher quality, possibly from Italy, was available online on Saturday. Commenting, Dr David Price, head of piracy intelligence at Envisional, said: "In the face of this international conspiracy, Bond is really up against it."

He continued: "There are now several million active digital pirates. Many of them are ordinary families that have got into the habit of downloading the latest episodes of American TV hits."

"And they don't have any qualms about using file sharing networks to copy new movies without paying," he added.
