Irish singer Damien Leith has made the final of reality television show 'Australian Idol'.
The 30-year-old pharmacist, who hails from Milltown in Co Kildare but now lives in Sydney, will compete against teenager Jessica Mauboy in the final of the singing contest, following the elimination of model Dean Geyer from the show.
Speaking after his eviction, Geyer wished both Leith and Mauboy well in the final. "These guys, I have so much respect for them," he said.
The final is due to take place at the Sydney Opera House on 26 November.
