Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon has filed for divorce from Ryan Phillippe, her husband of seven years.
The couple announced their separation nine days ago.
30-year-old Witherspoon has sought custody of the couple's two children and sole use of the family home and has asked that 32-year-old Philippe be denied spousal support.
Witherspoon has requested that Phillippe be granted visitation rights.
The couple reportedly met at Witherspoon's 21st birthday party and went on to star together in 'Cruel Intentions'.
They married in June 1999 and have a seven-year-old daughter and three-year-old son.
