Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been released on bail after being arrested in London on suspicion of assault.
A police spokesperson, who did not name Ms Campbell because no charges had been filed, said that an arrest was made after a woman alleged that she had been attacked at a residence in London.
"Officers attended the address. A women aged 36 was arrested... for an alleged assault and taken to a central London police station," the spokesperson said.
According to police, "The 36-year-old woman... has been bailed to return to a London police station on a later date in October."
Ms Campbell's spokesperson told The Sun: "We believe there has been a misunderstanding. Once police have investigated we are sure this will be resolved."
