'Emmerdale' is set for a dramatic murder storyline when millionaire businessman Tom King is killed on his wedding day.
The shocking scenes will be part of this year's Christmas storyline. A massive investigation will be launched after Tom (Ken Farrington) is murdered at his own wedding party, after exchanging vows with Rosemary Sinclair (Linda Thorson).
The businessman dies after he is hit over the head with a blunt object, causing him to fall through a window at Home Farm.
In a world first, viewers will then be given the chance to participate in an interactive crime-solving on-line forum, where they are given access to new evidence, clues and secret messages from the characters.
Series producer Kathleen Beedles said: "We are very excited about this storyline and thrilled to be able to involve our viewers in this unique way, giving them the opportunity to try and work out for themselves who is responsible for Tom's dramatic death."
