The winners of the awards in the various categories at the Cork Festival have been announced, with directors from France, Scotland and Ireland among those honoured.
French director Lyece Boukhitine won the Festival Award for 'Le Volets' ('The Shutters').
The award for Best International Short Film went to another French director, Jean-Gabriel Periot, for his film 'Eut-Elle Ete Criminelle' ('Even If She Had Been a Criminal').
The National Jury Award for Best Irish Short went to director Ciaran Foy for his film 'The Faeries of Blackheath Wood', which was described as "a jewel" in this year's festival programme.
The Claire Lynch Award for Irish Shorts by First-Time Directors was won by Sam Keogh for 'Wednesday' while the Audience Award for Best Irish Short went to David O'Sullivan for his film 'Nun More Deadly'.
The Made in Cork Award went to Rossa Mullin for 'Words Into Silence'.
Scottish director Alice Nelson won the Youth Jury Award for her film 'A Map with Gaps'; the film also won the Audience Award for Best International Short.
The Outlook (Lesbian and Gay Film Programme) Award went to Alex Gill for the film 'Christy'.
Melanie Clark Pullen was named the winner of the Gradam Gael Linn award for the Best Short in the Irish Language for her film 'Marion agus an Banphrionsa' ('Marion and the Princess').
