Singer David Bowie has landed a part in the 'SpongeBob SquarePants' cartoon series.
According to reports, the singer has recorded a voice-over for the character of Lord Royal Highness, which will feature in a episode scheduled to air in 2007.
Bowie said on his own website: "It's happened. At last. I've hit the Holy Grail of animation gigs."
"We, the family, are thrilled. Nothing else need happen this year, well, this week anyway," he said.
